Accepting Nominations for Scouting Vale la Pena Award

The ¡Scouting . . . Vale La Pena! (It’s Worth the Effort!) Award is an award approved by the National Boy Scouts of America. The award is presented to a nominee who has made a significant contribution to their community, acted as an advocate for Hispanic Americans/Latinos, and encouraged outreach to improve their conditions. In the fall of every year, the Denver Area Council’s Vale la Pena committee recognizes these individuals or organizations through our annual Vale la Pena Awards dinner. The recipients will not only be judged on their outstanding volunteer service with the Boy Scouts of America, but their overall service to other organizations within our community. The nomination forms will be reviewed by a volunteer committee. The Denver Area Council Vale la Pena committee will be accepting applications for this award April 30th, 2018.

Nominating Procedures: Candidates for this award must be nominated by peers. A limit of 3 recommendations letters will be accepted. Nominations should include the application, 2-3 letters and no pictures. The nomination form must be emailed, mailed or delivered no later than Monday, April 30th, 2018. by 5:00 pm:
